It's Time to Start Your Adventures
Our flexible programs are designed to meet your full time, part time or occasional childcare needs.
Infant Program
You can feel assured that our caregivers work with you to create custom schedules and programs for your infant, to meet their needs from newborns through that first-year milestone.
Just as you would do, we will cuddle, hold, and play with your baby in a quiet peaceful environment. We will also take them out on our patio in strollers to enjoy fresh air, while protecting their delicate skin from the elements.
Your infant’s schedule will adjust with your child as they grow through the rapid changes in their first year. Individual schedules for eating, nap times and play activities are created to meet the needs of your child with input from parents to ensure consistent routines at home and away.
Toddler Program
Your curious active toddler is always on the move and we ensure that they run (both indoors and out), laugh and play, naturally falling to sleep with their comfort blanket from home. Toddlers enjoy sitting together at mealtimes just like at home.
Languages
Toddlers and Preschoolers are introduced to both of Canada’s official languages, English and French through stories, songs and learning activities with numbers and letters.
Preschool Program
Children enjoy learning through play (both indoors and out) and our program is designed to be fun for them while providing the skills they need to successfully adapt to school life. Your increasingly independent and social child will enjoy our games with numbers, letters and colours, story time and show & tell, allowing children the opportunity to develop confidence and public speaking skills. Meal time for preschool is a relaxed, social break from their otherwise busy schedule.
Preschool lessons are provided for children ages 2 ½ to 6 years old.
Program

Curriculum Policy
Our curriculum is based on the Emergent Curriculum approach, which centers on children’s interests and natural curiosity. This child-driven curriculum requires close observation, creative brainstorming, flexibility, and patience. Rather than beginning with a set lesson plan, we allow learning to unfold organically based on the interests emerging among the children.
Teachers support children’s exploration of topics they’re passionate about using techniques like “Webbing”—a flexible and open-ended planning tool that encourages creative learning pathways. This process supports children in taking ownership of their learning, developing deep focus, and fostering a sense of independence and self-direction.
Our program also provides a planned environment that meets each child’s educational and cultural needs. Children are free to explore their interests within this supportive space, naturally building discipline and mastery over foundational skills.
Goals of Emergent Curriculum
Our Emergent Curriculum aims to:

Providing Nutritious Meals Daily
Banana Tree Daycare offers three daily meals:
- Morning Snack
- Lunch
- Afternoon Snack
Our meal plan is developed in collaboration with nutritionists, ensuring that children receive balanced and nutritious food each day. We prioritize the nourishment of both mind and body, supporting children’s development with meals that promote sustained energy, cognitive growth, and overall well-being.
